From Fleece to Fabric – A Day with the Bowland Guild of Weavers, Spinners and Dyers at Clitheroe Castle Museum

Clitheroe Castle Museum

Start: 11:00

End: 15:00

Join us and celebrate Wool Month 2026. This year we’re delighted to welcome the Bowland branch of the Guild of Weavers, Spinners and Dyers, who will be demonstrating traditional fibre crafts and sharing their expertise in handweaving and spinning.

Spinning and weaving are traditional Lancashire skills. Try spinning wool with a drop spindle or wheel, weave on a handloom, and explore peg-loom weaving, knitting, crochet and felting. Free mini weaving activities for children too!
