Clitheroe Chamber of Trade and Commerce 89th AGM

Daniel being congratulated on his re-election by the longest serving Executive Committee member Cliff Cowburn.

Clitheroe Chamber of Trade and Commerce held their 89th AGM in the Ballroom at the Swan & Royal Hotel on Castle Street last Tuesday evening. Current President Daniel Williams of Sawley Studios outlined the activities of the Chamber over the last 12 months and laid out details of upcoming events for the year ahead. Building on a strong Executive Committee the Chamber intends to continue to hold educational evenings for businesses as well as promotional activities based around the very successful Shop Clitheroe loyalty card scheme.

The Chamber will continue put up over 150 flags for St George’s day in April as well as over 2 kilometres of bunting that will adorn the town from May to August. Behind the scenes, on behalf of its members, the Chamber will be liaising with both the Town Council and RVBC on matters as diverse as the proposed Market Site development and updating the Christmas trees that form an integral part of the town’s decorations during December.

Daniel thanked all the officers of the Executive Committee who were re-elected, as well as Treasurer Karin Wilson of K Accountancy and Chamber secretary Nina Driver for all their support during the year.
