Shop Clitheroe's June Winner - Mr Brian Rushton

June’s winner of Clitheroe Chamber of Trade and Commerce’s Shop Clitheroe loyalty scheme is Clitheroe resident Mr Brian Rushton. Born and brought up in the town Brian, who is now retired, started his working life as a printer at The Borough Printing Company, York Street, before working for over 40 years at West View Printers in Clayton le Moors.
A widower, Brian has 2 children and four grandchildren that he loves to look after and spends any spare time doing puzzles and crosswords. Brian said “I have had a Shop Clitheroe card for nearly 5 years and fill them quickly by doing my regular shopping in Clitheroe. I was delighted to be told that I had won £50 worth of Shop Clitheroe vouchers and will look forward to spending them.”
Presenting Brian with his vouchers Jo Harding of Clitheroe Books, Moor Lane commented “It’s over 20 years since we opened and as we specialise in both new and old books on local history, local maps and local interest it’s nice to be able to reward our local community with the Shop Clitheroe scheme.”
